Item:223272388056The back length is 356 mm.The bout sizes are approximately: 168 115 and 208 mm The bow with frog and button length is 725mm (740mm with button)The bow with nothing length is 725mm.The bow with frog and button weight is 58.4 grams. The bow with nothing weight is 36.3 grams For sale is a very nice violin in great condition. This lot was recently bought from an individual in Paris, France. The two bows seem to be made of a very old and dark pernambuco, in need of cleaning and restoration. The frog has 3 pins and the button has two. There is a hand-written "No. 3229" in the middle of the violin, and the sides of the label were ripped off..So I am unsure of the date but probably early 1900's.The violin has a small crack on top right of table but it doesn't move at all and is not deep or dangerous..The varnish on the sides are a bit thicker too.The violin has a very strong and elegant french quality sound. It is sold as is; fitted pegs, original sound post, strings, and equipment.I don't think it has ever been opened. Please note: The varnish is a little bit darker in reality. In my opinion this violin could be a Collin Mézin workshop from the 1900's, but only an expert can decide. The violin will be sent in the 1900's good condition violin case (in picture) packaged very very safely.I have sent many boxes like this around the world and they always arrive safe.
